Dr. Entner and Dr. Spooner strongly believe that an integrated approach with communication between your health care providers is in your best interest and are open to working with other health care providers you may also have participating in your health care, be it a medical doctor, chiropractor, dentist, physiotherapist, massage therapist etc. If a referral to one of these professionals is deemed appropriate and in your best interest, it shall be recommended.

Many of the therapies and diagnostic services used at this clinic are state of the art and are related to our doctors’ specialized training. Verbal and/or written information will be given to help educate you on these methods. Please feel free to ask question of the staff regarding any unfamiliar or unclear aspects of your care. We will provide you with a personal file where you can keep copies of tests, handouts and questions regarding your health care at the clinic.

What to Expect

In general, the first visit is a consultation and is scheduled for 60 minutes. Some cases may warrant a bit more or bit less time. In advance, you will be asked to fill in a comprehensive intake form which Dr. Entner or Dr. Spooner will refer to during the history taking. A thorough history, discussion of diagnostic / therapeutic options and expectations will be the focus of this initial visit. Your doctor will work with you to set up a customized health management strategy.

The second visit is usually devoted to assessment. Physical examination, in house specialty tests and standard lab tests will either be performed or specimens collected. At this time a review of patient ‘homework’ and evaluation of the first week of treatment will also be done. The appointment usually lasts 30 minutes. Subsequent follow up appointments are scheduled as needed for 15 minutes in length.

Fees

Since our services are not covered by provincial health plan, you are responsible for payment of any expenses incurred. Some extended health insurance policies may help offset some of these fees. We suggest that you discuss your coverage with your individual insurer.

We do expect payment at the time services are rendered either by cash, debit or credit card. It must also be noted that the visit in which the majority of diagnostic tests and evaluations are performed is often the most expensive and time consuming. Subsequent follow-up visits are usually less costly and shorter in length. Due to safety and sterility issues, Pharmacy items cannot be returned for refund once dispensed. Please read the fee schedule so that you are familiar with the costs of the individual tests and services.
